Joanna Pollard

Me: I work in executive coaching and organisational development. Basically, that’s about helping leaders to improve effectiveness; personally, with teams, and organisationally.

I am excited by work that has broad impact, improves effectiveness, promotes diversity and equality, provides opportunity to stimulate and harness creativity and is grounded in respect and care.

I have been a leader in business, a consultant across industries and a coach to some fantastic people.  I ‘ve worked in cultures that span professional football to financial services and all sorts in between. I gather and develop great ideas from the organisations I touch, the people I work with, and emerging new thinking – adapting and sharing along the way. I get a kick out of helping others be the best they can be.

My work: Assignments are business driven and, whilst working with all organisational levels, are typically commissioned by the Executive Team, or Board.   Example areas include

Organisation development – aligning people, process, systems and culture to deliver organisational purpose and strategy
Leadership development – developing talent for the future, upskilling for today
Team development – new teams, new businesses, teams in conflict, teams in transition
Facilitation – one off business issues, team effectiveness
Executive coaching – leaders experiencing or leading change (personal/organisational)

Clients include: M&G Prudential, L&G, the FA, the LTA, University of Cambridge, The Post Office, Royal Mail, Revlon, Sainsbury, Gatwick Airport Ltd, British Council, Telecity, Yodel, RAC.

My approach is collaborative and creative – working with clients to find solutions that really work. I aim for outcomes that are pragmatic, underpinned by robust technical expertise and fully owned by the client.

My resources: My work is informed by an executive background in industry, followed by over 10 years coaching and consulting across sectors. I’m a: CIPD Fellow (the professional body for HR professionals).

member of the ICF (International Coach Federation) and bound by their on-going continuing professional development and Code of Ethics I hold qualifications in a range of psychometrics, including Hogan, MBTI Step I & II, Firo B, OPQ, and Human Synergistics Tools and use them to help leaders better understand themselves and others.
